EcoCity Skive is only engaged to undertake actions that promote the goals outlined in the municipality's Climate and Energy Strategy the 2029th.

This means that the department first and foremost take initiatives for projects, which are then managed in multidisciplinary project teams involving both local internal and external groups.

In efforts to delineate and describe EcoCity Skive overall task, it has become clear to us that EcoCity work and all tasks should focus on green technology and sustainable business development.

Through green technology and sustainable business, we create lasting jobs that will attract citizens, creating a need for education, service institutions, commerce, entertainment, etc. - in short, a sustainable society.

From management to service

As part that technical management, we are heading for another way to manage our core tasks. We, like all other technical departments traditionally solved tasks with emphasis on control. Currently we are on track to become a service for citizens and businesses.

When people and businesses targeted with requests and questions, we must in future help them achieve their goals and solve their problems. We can not give specific advice, but we can inspire and distribute experience and knowledge.

Technical Management holds more than rules, clauses and regulations. We have gained experience and knowledge through a number of years and we want the future to share these experiences and knowledge with citizens and businesses in the municipality.
