EcoCity Skive is a small section in the Technical Department, which deals exclusively with to undertake actions that promote the goals outlined in the municipality's Climate and Energy Strategy the 2029th

This means that the department first and foremost take initiatives for projects, which are then managed in multidisciplinary project teams involving both local internal and external groups.

The Technical Department we are heading for another way to manage our core tasks. We, like all other technical departments traditionally solved tasks with emphasis on control. Currently we are on track to become a service for citizens and businesses.

When people and businesses targeted with requests and questions, we must in future help them achieve their goals and solve their problems. We can not give specific advice, but we can inspire and distribute experience and knowledge.

We gladly share our knowledge and experience

Technical Management holds more than rules, clauses and regulations. We have gained experience and knowledge through a number of years and we want the future to share these experiences and knowledge with citizens and businesses in the municipality.

It is our task to develop a municipality that is attractive to settle in and establish and operate, and to establish a technical citizen and business services that can help citizens and businesses with land acquisition, planning, building permits, environmental approvals, etc.

It is our aim in future to offer - one entry - one course. For example. should a developer find that his case is handled in a single cycle. With the high specialization of employees in management, it requires a special organization to handle everything from planning, land development, road and infrastructure conditions of sale of land for environmental and building permits as if the case was heard in one place.
