Climate & Energy Strategy 2029

Skive municipality has in recent years upgraded the effort to create even more energy efficiency and optimization of energy saving measures, and this work resulted in Skive was designated as the country's first EcoCity in October 2008.

Thus, Skive municipality has set new standards for working with the Climate and Energy, and we continue efforts both locally and strategically, to involve all citizens and businesses to create a more independent, self-reliant and sustainable society for the benefit of everyone in Skive.

The strategic plan sets targets and frameworks for how Skive municipality is a CO2-neutral society, and what measures are currently known instruments for bringing the municipality there.

Climate and Energy Strategy is built with an introduction about the strategy's content, purpose and organization. Then follows an overall conclusion with recommendations for implementation of necessary actions.

The strategic and technical part deals with the various approaches and technologies that municipality gradually brings into play to achieve the vision within the prescribed timeframe. Here we try to illustrate how we implement each initiative, and what consequences it has.

This section concludes with a more detailed conclusion and description of how we evaluate and continue to develop strategy. Climate and Energy Strategy concludes with a future story about how Skive might look like in 2029, when we have fulfilled the vision to be CO2-neutral at the time.
